Skilled Nominated Visa – Subclass 190

This visa allows skilled workers who are nominated by an Australian state or territory government to live and work in Australia permanently.

Benefits of this Visa

This is a permanent visa. It lets you:

  • Stay in Australia indefinitely

  • Work and study in Australia

  • Enrol in Medicare, Australia’s scheme for health-related care and expenses

  • Sponsor eligible relatives for permanent residence

  • Travel to and from Australia for five years

  • Apply for Australian citizenship, if eligible.

General Eligibility Criteria

  • Have a relevant skilled occupation
  • Have a suitable skills assessment for the occupation
  • Meet the points test pass mark of 65 points
  • Be nominated by a state or territory government agency
  • Be under 45 years of age at time of invitation
  • Have Competent English
  • Be invited by department to apply.

Fee

  • The visa costs AUD3,755 for the main applicant.
  • There is also a charge for each family member who applies for the visa with you.
  • You might have to pay an extra charge for any applicant 18 years old or older who has less than functional English. This charge is the second instalment.
  • The second instalment charge for family members is AUD4,885.
